Who We Are
North Georgia Native Nursery is owned and operated by Edward and Katy Ross. Ed is an avid outdoors person who spends his free time mountain biking, reading about history, and pulling privet. Katy has over 25 years working in the plant and nursery industry. She has worked for several nurseries throughout Georgia and holds an Associate degree in Environmental Horticulture, a Bachelor degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Education. Katy first became interested in native plants out of high school and always promoted them as a hardier, better alternative to non-natives while working in the nursery industry. She is also a Georgia Certified Plant Professional. Together they are working to build a more sustainable native plant nursery and educate the public about the importance native plants play in the environment.
